Full Moon Dates 2026–2027
The complete calendar — 13 full moons in 2026 (May gets two), three supermoons, and every date cross-checked against the lunar eclipse catalog.
A full moon happens when the Moon stands opposite the Sun from Earth — peak illumination, peak tide, and in most astrological traditions, peak emotion and culmination. New moons start chapters; full moons are when they come due.

What the names mean
The traditional names come from North American seasonal lore: the Wolf Moon of deep winter, the Harvest Moon nearest the autumn equinox, the Cold Moon that closes the year. A supermoon is a full moon near the Moon’s closest approach to Earth — visibly larger and brighter. A blue moon is the second full moon in a single calendar month, which 2026 gets in May.
What a full moon means in your chart
In astrology a full moon is a monthly spotlight: it lands in one sign and one house of your birth chart, and whatever lives there — career, partnership, money, home — gets illuminated for a few days. The eclipse-season full moons (March 3 and August 28 in 2026) carry the most weight traditionally.
Which house this month’s full moon lights up depends on your exact birth data. Ask what the next full moon touches in your chart — eight systems weigh in, one clear answer comes back. For the other side of the cycle, see the 2026–2027 eclipse dates.
